I sold 2 NYX Apr08 70 Calls for $100.50 in an IRA.
My basis for NYX is not 85.25 so as you may guess I don’t want it called away at 70. There appears to be little chance of that by Apr expiration though. This stock has been something of a disappointment for me (big surprise). It is encouraging that I felt comfortable selling a call only one month out this time. The last time I was 6 months out. I prefer to have money deposited in my accounts faster rather than slower. NYX does pay a .25 quarterly dividend which helps some.

I BTC 2 NYX 80 Put and STO 2 NYX Jun 80 Put for a net deposit of $310.98 in an IRA. If put to me I would own these NYX at 68.04 as a result of the summarized premiums I have collected from each roll out.
NYX keeps going down and I should probably be buying puts on it but my psyche just does not do as well buying puts (or calls) as when I sell them. So, I continue doing what is more successful and comfortable for me. One day I will probably be put these shares at which time I will start collecting the dividend and selling covered calls on them. If I were put these today, Apr08 80 Calls would return an annualized 18.32% based upon my basis.
