I sold 2 ANH Apr09 7.50 Covered Calls on 10/20/08 for a net deposit of $50.50 in an IRA account. My basis for these ANH shares is now 14.00.
ANH has been paying regular dividends but now always the same or higher as the previous quarter. ANH just announced the next dividend at .25. The prior three quarter dividends were (oldest first) .12, .20, and .29. This is a mortgage REIT so the fact that they are paying dividends at all is probably a pretty good sign.

I sold 2 ANH Oct08 10 Calls for 30.50 in an IRA account.
I don’t have much excuse here. That is only 4.54% annualized return on my basis for ANH. The company is a real estate mortgage REIT and has suffered from the sub-prime problem. They have been aggressively working to re-mediate their holdings and the stock price has been recovering some of late. So I guess I am holding on to it believing that it will recover. Or, I am just not willing to give up. Not the best attitude but there it is.

I had a number of Apr08 Options expire worthless allowing me to keep the entire Premium They are listed below for the record. Note that the total received may be larger than expected because the option may have been rolled out.
